MPC chickens are lovingly selected, artisanally butchered & are frozen fresh. Schoenborn Family Farms exclusively provides these products. MPC uses a variety of breeds & some breeds are gamier in scent than others. Most of our birds are retired egg-laying hens from small farms. Because of this, we are thrilled that these birds are not being culled for no purpose. They are raised in Michigan & Indiana. MPC chicken is all-natural &  without enhancements. Our birds are steroid-free & hormone-free. Antibiotic & denaturant-free. Our meats are never irradiated & therefore better in quality than most. Chicken is one of the most popular proteins in pet food. But not all are alike due to sourcing practices. Like any of our wide product offerings, we pride ourselves on quality & sourcing.
